Louis wins it for the Tigers

Curzon Ashton Res 3-4 Hyde United FC Res

This young Hyde team were outstanding to a man. With an average age of 19 the squad included a number of youth age players and 16 year old right back Marcus Haydock.

Curzon had experience with a midfield with over 300 games at conference level but it was the Tigers who controlled the opening 45 minutes scoring through Big Khamsuk & Pete Boyle.

HT 0-2 Hyde

The second half started with a much more direct Curzon scoring two goals in 2 minutes to draw level, but the tigers faught hard and regained the lead on 76 minutes through Tundai Owalabi. With the clock running down Curzon scored again to make it 3-3 and it looked like Hyde would have to settle for a share of the points until Man of The Match Louis Holt popped up in the last minute to fire home the winner and secure the points.

FT 3-4 Hyde United FC

Fantastic result puts Ian Worthington and his young squad within touching distance of the first league title for this Academy Development Squad. Fantastic performance levels across the board but MOM was Louis Holt for his work rate and desire to get the ball in the back of the net in the 90th minute.

Hyde will move above Curzon at the top of the league if they can win away at Buxton FC on Wednesday
