Hyde United continued their march up the table with an emphatic fourth straight win against bottom of the table Ramsbottom United.

Five goals in 20 minutes, including a hat-trick from Scott Spencer and an Ayrton Bevins brace, saw the Tiger's inflict a damaging defeat of the lowly Rams and end their mini revival.
Both sides went into this game unbeaten in three and would've looked to continue their individual good runs, but the game started poorly. That was until the 32nd minute when suddenly, Hyde decided to go ballistic in front of goal.
First Spencer turned in a square ball from Andy Pearson in space from close in, before more poor defending allowed Bevins in five minutes later, Rammy keeper Grant Shelton in the visitors goal tackled James Burke, and the ball spilled to Bevins in the six yard box, who couldn't miss.
Then just before half time Spencer fired into the postage stamp after running clear on the left to make it three to flatter the hosts at half time.
Then straight after the break, Spencer completed his trio after a Bevins shot was parried and he tapped in. Two minutes later Bevins made it five to complete a remarkable spell for Hyde after being sent clear by Reece Gray.
Shelton Payne and Jordan Bove both should've grabbed a consolation for Ramsbottom, but this really wasn't day and the game ended the very flattering scoreline of five nil to Hyde to push them to the edge of the play-offs.
