GOOLE FC 0-0 HYDE UNITED FC

Hyde United FC draw in the final league game of an excellent 2017, finishing April undefeated (like February) with 3 WINS & 2 DRAWS, and 2017 with 10 WINS - 6 DRAWS - 2 LOSSES in the League.

The game was nothing to tweet home about, on a pitch which really was not fit for purpose, and the highlight was the colourful clothing of the Hyde faithful who continued to show why they are without doubt the best fans in the league.

THE GAME

Hyde started well and controlled the majority of the play in the opening 45 minutes hitting the crossbar twice through Paddy Miller and Janni Lipka. Goole looked like a side who have suffered the curse of relegation, and although they toiled in the field (potato field) they struggled to get any joy with the ball, or even stay on their feet in the case of the number 11.

HT 0-0

The second half had Oliver Ford replacing a booked Ryan Ellison and the Tigers continued their dominance of the ball and the chances, with Matthew Beadle firing off a couple of half chances, and Oliver Ford forcing a decent save from the young Goolekeeper when he got off a smart shot from a Chris Sutherland pull back in the box. Darren managed to give to more graduates of the Academy pitch time with Louis Holt replacing Pete Boyle, and Lewis Haydock coming on for Big Khamsuk with 10 to play.

FT 0-0

Great support from the fans who have been immense this season, believing in the Manager and backroom staff, and cheering the squad home in every game. A big shout out to 26-nil live who have continued to supply the club with excellent radio coverage throughout the season. Special thanks to Paul Rothwell & Dave Gresty for their dedication to the job, making sure we always look like a brilliantly turned out professional club whenever and wherever we play. Thanks to all of the volunteers who work so tirelessly to keep things running and to put money in the bank, and thanks to the board who give up their time to help move the club forward. Finally thank you to TMBC for their continued support of the club in developing the facilities at the ground.

The planning for the coming season has already started. Paddy Miller & Matt Beadle have been retained for 2017-2018, and we have more good news to tell over the coming weeks.

BUY YOUR SEASON TICKET. We want to deliver a squad which challenges for the title, and we need your financial support to make this happen. Things are looking up at Hyde United FC, for the fist time in a number of seasons, and we can plan for success.

WE ARE ALL TIGERS! #TIGERLOVE
